What will be the per night charges in B&B hotels in Germany?

We are 2 adults and 2 kids want to travel in Germany during second half of August. Want to stay at B&B hotels in Berlin & Munich during our travels. What will be the charges per night? Also we want to know what is generally charged per night for Bed & Breakfast by the people provide stay at their homes?
We are planning an economy trip this time.

Planning vacation, how to cut down on costs.?

I want to go to Germany, what are things I can do to cut down on the cost? I can get a deal on a flight and hotel from like Orbitz or something but what about things like food?

I don’t want to be extravagant but I don’t want to be so cheap that it isn’t enjoyable. What are ways to cut down on food and entertainment costs? Can I get discounts by showing a student i.d or something? Is it better to go to a restaurant or just eat something from a food cart or the grocery store?

I live in UK i want to visit my Uncle in Germany. I know ryanair is cheap but their flights r not comfy so i decided never 2 travel by plane.

I am planning a European Roadtrip this spring (Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France) and I was wondering if my AAA card will help me save money while I’m over there. I’m mostly wondering if I can save money on hotels/hostels and car rental compies. Which specific car rentals companies have a AAA card discount? Is the discount substantial? What's the best way for broke students to travel Germany in January?

I would consider camping and cycling, but the only time me and my friends are able to go to Germany is during the January holidays and I gather it gets rather… cold. We’re looking to see as many places as possible, as in we want to start off in Germany and make our way North and West, but we’re all college students and pretty broke. Any ideas for travel and accommodation?
Normally I would Spinnie, but its in January so I have to ask you, are you mad?
